Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we’ll do everything we possibly can to ensure you’re a happy customer. About this item: This mask by Wilson Aboagye captures the spiritual essence of the Akan people of Ghana. Known as Sunsum, it is traditionally worn during festivals for entertainment purposes. Aboagye expertly carves the sese mask by hand, procuring stylized details on the cheek and forehead. About our Artist: 'I became interested in Ghanaian African carvings when I was a child, so after middle school I learned the trade through a man named Mr. Akoffour,' recalls Wilson Aboagye. 'Now I have my own workshop and am training three people. I carve different types of masks and each of them has a meaning. My products are unique and my target is to create more.'
